If you want to reach consumers who care about food and drink with local roots and living a sustainable lifestyle in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, Edible Chesapeake should be part of your marketing mix.

Unique editorial -- Edible Chesapeake maintains an editorial focus on sustainably produced foods in the Chesapeake region, and our slant emphasizes where the food comes from—farmers, fishers, artisan food producers, and seasonal ingredients themselves are our primary editorial subjects.  No other publication in southern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia does this.

Targeted distribution through non-traditional channels -- Edible Chesapeake extends your reach beyond the newsstand with our free, but targeted distribution model. The bulk of our 40,000 copies per quarter are displayed and distributed free through restaurants, retailers, farmers markets, farmstands, wineries and special event venues where people who care about local food congregate.

Loyal readers -- Readers of Edible Chesapeake eagerly anticipate and seek out each quarterly issue. We routinely hear from readers who feel more copies should be available in their area of the watershed, and who volunteer to establish new distributino points and share the message in their communities. Our readers say they visit places they read about in the magazine's stories and in the ads.

Recognized source for local eating information -- Mainstream media outlets in the area often contact Edible Chesapeake for comment on the hot topics of sustainable and local eating, recognizing that there is no other source as comprehensively and tightly focused on this topic in Maryland, DC and Virginia.

We publish four issues each year, following the seasons. Check out our 2008 deadlines and advertising rates below. Or email us to discuss your advertising needs.
